Probably THE most inspiring and influential book I have ever read. I urge anybody and everybody to read it!
I read this a few years ago in preparation for the University application process (I study Biology). However I did not anticipate how this book would change my views on pretty much everything.
The book reveals how therapies based on the principles of mindfulness mediation are able to treat patients with certain forms of OCD, or to help patients recover from a stroke. Due to my scientific education I couldn’t help but be initially sceptical, however I couldn’t argue with the countless forms of evidence supporting his claims.
The main conclusion is that there is solid evidence showing that through mental “force” (mindfulness) we are able to change physical reality, our consciousness is not only separate from our mind, but it has the power to change it.
